Looking good is key to feeling good. Blah blah blah, we all know this. But before you roll your eyes and move on, take a minute to find out about 3 ways you can look younger that are truly not the norm.
1) Coconut Oil. If you have trouble getting your makeup off. Try using pure coconut oil first. You can find it just about anywhere (even the grocery) and it’s not especially expensive. When paired with a good quality cleanser, It’s a gentle but effective way to remove makeup. Apply the oil all over the face and then rinse. Follow with cleanser to remove the rest of your makeup and truly cleanse the skin. Your skin will glow from the healing properties of the oil and your wallet will grow as you save money on cleanser because you won’t need nearly as much.
2) You are what you eat. Or drink. You have heard it before; what you eat affects your skin. For radiant skin, stick with healthy fruits and veggies and stay away from processed sugars. Tomatoes for example contain and anti-oxidant; lycopene which works from within as a sunscreen to protect the body from UVA and UVB rays Consider supplements like flaxseed, and omega -3’s. 3) Sleep. Ok so this one isn’t so unusual but it’s probably the most important way you can look younger. At night, your skin cells work to regenerate and repair the damage of the day. Cell metabolism is twice as high while you sleep so skimping on Z’s is literally not an option. Take the time before bed to thoroughly cleanse your skin. Try setting the timer on your phone for 2 minutes and gently and continually cleanse. This concentrated cleansing will help to remove the debris of the day and prep your skin for nightly repair. Apply a mask at least twice a week to intensely repair the skin.
Great skin care doesn’t have to come normally. A healthy lifestyle can take years off your appearance and add years to your life.
